Nanik started playing basketball at the age of seven years old at La Sierra Community Center. It was there that he learned the basic fundamentals of the game that later changed his life. Soon outgrowing the small community center he got started with Top Notch Basketball and later YBA Elite. All while creating a name for himself at San Juan Highschool where he was a 4x Varisity starter, Team captain, League MVP, and an optimist all-star.
After years of hard work, dedication, focus, and resiliency. All of Nanik's time paid off when he committed to play at Holy Names University formerly a Divison II school in the PacWest. Nanik chose to Redshirt his first year at Holy Names. Unfortunately upon the school shutting down again nanik needed to find somewhere to continue his basketball journey. The long road and journey continued when he got yet another chance with a school in the PacWest, Dominican University.
Nanik Tagore is currently attending Dominican University of California, a private university located in San Rafael, CA. Dominican competes in the PacWest Conference at the NCAA Division II level.
